...heated seats. A few years ago we were lucky enough to find a great deal on a car off of Craigslist. We were looking for a SUV, in good condition, at a good price. We found the Saab, and I have been spoiled ever since. There are many things about the car that I love, like the sunroof and great sound system, but those heated seats...yowza! They really are a great way to warm up in the middle of the winter. And, an extra bonus, they actually help my back on longer car rides...score!

What technology have you gotten spoiled by?
I've only been in a car with heated seats, never owned one. I have always wanted a car with a sunroof. As for technology, I think we have all gotten spoiled by cell phones in one main area.
ReplyDeleteBack in the day, we had to memorize everyone's phone number. Or have them written down somewhere. You could actually go to the store and buy a phone number book. I memorized a few numbers. Now, the only numbers I know off the top of my head are one phone number from when I was growing up, we NEVER changed it for many, many years. And another friend of mine who also has never changed his number and is still the same.
When I went in for surgery a couple of years ago, I didn't bring my cell phone with me. It was only after we had gotten to the hospital and did all the check in stuff that I realized that I had no way for my husband to contact my mom mom or brother to let them know when I was out of surgery. I didn't have anyone's numbers! You're right...nobody memorized numbers anymore. I memorize the number they are on speed dial!
DeleteI used to have a car with a sunroof. Loved that thing! I've never felt heated seats, but it does sound like a great way to avoid back pain on long trips. Maybe I'll get a car with them some day. Until then, I'm envying you your Saab! :)
