...dust.
Specifically, dust collecting on my walker. How easy it would have
been for me to do “donuts” or “Disney” for my D post.
Honestly though, sometimes the things that make us the happiest
aren't always the most obvious. They are the little things, like
dust settling on a device that you once needed in
order to get around, that are the most joyous.
All tucked away in my basement |
Now, if only I could be happy about the rest of the dust around my house... :)
Have you ever had a bad thing that is actually a sign of a great thing?
I can say that my one health issue is a bad but good thing. It's bad in that it's a health issue, but it's good in that it's not really serious and is more annoying than anything.

DeleteTried to comment back on your blog and couldn't :(
DeleteNow all you have to do is toss it out, the final victory! And when you're done with that there's some dust on those bookshelves behind you...
ReplyDeleteWish I could...I'll probably need it again for a future surgery :(
DeleteI don't know if a bad thing ever turned good, but there is a time when I too like the dust. On a sunny day when a beam is sent into the house and you see the dust particles dance in the sun beam. That can be amazing to watch.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's pretty calming, isn't it?

DeleteThat sort of dust would certainly be a great things :) I'm so bad at housekeeping, I don't even see the dust... until it's house inspection time!

ReplyDeleteThanks Monica!
DeleteThat's the good kind of dust. I don't have any good dust around here.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a bad thing that is actually a sign of a good thing for me. That's a good thing, right?

I'm not sure...I think you've confused me :)
DeleteVery interesting question - and your post is perfect for it :) Hope plenty more dust settles on it for you!!!! I like to make negatives into positives - working with children who have special educational issues sometimes needs this perspective - like the child who was becoming class clown but this was so much better than when they wouldn't speak at all :)

Yes! A perfect example of a bad thing that is actually a great thing!
DeleteI can't think of one personally right now, but seeing your walker reminds me of my mom's walker and made me realize that a little over a year ago she was not expected to live after breaking her hip. She certainly never expected to walk without a walker and now walks with and without a cane so your post on dust did that for me. Thank you and glad you can see good things from bad experiences
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your mom is doing okay!
DeleteYour post's have put I smile on my face thank you! And so glad you can keep the walker in a corner!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words!
