Celebrate The Small Things -- April 3

It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things!  The brainchild of ViklitCelebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is.  I am thrilled to co-host this wonderful bloghop!

This week I'm celebrating:
  • walking around even better!  It seems like I don't really have much pain in my right foot (the one that I have my walking cast on), but if I do too much I get pain in my lower back.  I'm assuming this is my body getting used to being back on my feet again.  My stamina isn't much, but it's getting better every day.
  • I finally figured out an A to Z challenge theme!  It was a last minute decision, but I think it will be fun.  I'm doing the A to Z from Emmie's point of view.  Emmie is our 4 year old rescue dog that we adopted two weeks ago.  Many thanks to those who suggested that I focus my theme on her.  And special thanks to my daughter, Mary, who has been helping me with my theme :)
  • my sunflowers are starting to grow!  I promised that I would plant sunflowers in memory of Tina Downey from @LifeIsGood and here they are!

What are you celebrating?

  1. I put aside on regular posting for the A-Z challenge. I rolled more multiple posts into one last year and that made my post too long. I felt, if I did separate posts for my other memes then something would get missed. So, I'm just putting everything else on hold temporarily this month. I celebrate this morning to have coffee in hand and lots of fine blogs to read! :D Have a good weekend!

  4. Congratulations on walking better! That is the best news! another congrats for your new addition to your family! and to honor her in your A to Z Challenge! Yay!. I'm sad I'm not partaking in this challenge this year. I couldn't come up with a good theme or get the positivea A to Z written. I've done it the past two years. If you haven't seen them, you can see the Positives on my blog. I've linked to each of them under that page. :) They are short so as not to keep you too occupied. :)
And yay for sprouting your sunflowers. I am horrible growing things from seeds. And what a wonderful tribute. You have a beautiful heart!

  6. That's great that you're making so much progress walking! You'll be zipping around before you know it. Cute theme for A to Z! Sunflowers are beautiful. My mom grows them in her garden every year. Such a lovely tribute you are doing. Happy Easter!

  9. Congrats on walking around more! I can relate to back pain. I've had 4 herniated disks over the years and if I stand too long or especially lean over to cook/chop, my back hurts. I hope your back troubles go away. I read one of Emmie's posts. Awesome! Yay for you, Emmie, and Mary and such a cute theme. :)
