Celebrate The Small Things -- April 10

It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things!  The brainchild of ViklitCelebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is.  I am thrilled to co-host this wonderful bloghop!

This week I'm celebrating:
  • we left Emmie for the first time alone in the house and she did pretty well.  I've noticed over the past few weeks that she has slight separation anxiety.  She follows me everywhere...even waits outside the bathroom door while I shower :)  She has real anxiety when it comes to the crate, so we've kept the door off of it and let her go in and out at her discretion.  So locking her in the crate while we left her alone wasn't an option.  We were gone for almost 2.5 hours and came back to our home intact.  She looked so scared when we came home and actually peed a little bit when we first came in.  I think it was submissive peeing.  This was her first accident in the house!  Poor girl...I think she was really frightened that we left her for good :(  We gave her lots of extra love and attention for the rest of the day.
  • almost two weeks into the A to Z Challenge and all is going well!
  • my mobility is getting better day by day!  I've been able to do light housework for the past couple of weeks...load the dishwasher, do laundry, vacuum (a room at a time).
  • the forecast for the weekend is sunny and the high 60's!  My favorite weather!

    What are you celebrating?

    2. Bless Emmie's heart - you're doing it right though. The A-Z is more fun than I anticipated. That's wonderful that you're more mobile - it's been so a long journey for you! Have a weekend of love and fun, Katie. (smile)

      1. A to Z is a lot of work, but a ton of fun. You should think about doing it next year, if you have the time. Have a great weekend!

    9. Sounds like you have some fantastic things to celebrate! Mobility would be a big one for me... being limited would be frustrating. Glad you are able to get around better and have some good weather to enjoy!

      1. Being limited is very frustrating! This is why old people are so cranky :)
