Monkey Blanket

An A to Z Challenge from the point of view of the newest member of the family...Emmie is a 4-ish year old pit bull mix that we rescued on March 20, 2015.

The first night I came to my new home, my human sister thought I looked cold, so she covered me with a warm blanket.  It's my favorite blanket and now I get to keep it in my bed with me all the time.

What kindness has someone done for you that you will always remember?

  2. Aww, that's a sweet photo and a great blanket. Our rescue dog, Clyde, has his own blankie and he's taken over a special chair in our house . . . he shares with his humans if he gets to sit on our laps.

Today, a friend of ours is van-pooling a bunch of teens (including my oldest daughter) to a bio-tech day experience that's a few hours drive from here. I'm so thankful! And, my daughter is too. Yes, we have van-pooled before, but this is an all-day with a bunch of teens kind of experience - which can be huge fun or huge drama - so I consider it an act of kindness.

  7. So cute! My parents' dog (a runt of a Jack Russel) has a sleeping bag he curls up under in winter. He's so little and has such short hair that he freezes even in central QLD - nights can get down to 2 degrees celcius, and once or twice can get to 0 although that isn't very common. Top temp during the day in winter is rarely below 16, so we do get pretty warm :)
