Busyness Is Progress

The past few weeks have been super crazy.  My kids finished school...then my brother and his family came to visit the following day and stayed for the week...then camp started for my kiddos.  You'd think that having both kids in camp last week and my daughter continuing on to this week would allow me to have some time to myself.  Not so much.  I couldn't even tell you what I've been so busy with, but I feel like I've been running around like a nutter...even though I don't think I have!  I'm officially losing it. Maybe I was just so exhausted from having company for a week that my mind went on hiatus?

This week I've been playing catch up.  The house has been tidied...yay!  Although, it still looks pretty much the same as it did before...just a little less cluttered.  I did my bills on Monday and began making doctor's appointments for me and the kids...both kids need physicals over the summer.  We also need to hit the orthodontist (we haven't seen her in two months...ooops!), the eye doctor, and I still need to schedule a consult for my daughter to get her wisdom teeth out...apparently she has two sets!

Speaking of my girl...I was able to spend an hour at my daughter's softball game this past weekend...that's the good news.  The bad news...I was just in time to see her dive for a ball, come down on her arm the wrong way, and sprain her shoulder!  This kid is such a clutz :)  So I also spent some time in urgent care Sunday morning and the orthopedist for a follow up yesterday.  Poor kid is in a sling and is aching pretty badly.  No tournament play this coming weekend, and we'll have to go for another follow up next week if it's still hurting her.  Any prayers and good vibes sent her way would be much appreciated!

Basically, now that I think about it, I've been busy doing life stuff.  Which is good since I haven't been able to do very much life stuff for the past year!  This is progress!

Now, if I could just keep everyone in the family healthy for just a little while....  :)

Did anyone else feel like the month of June flew by?  What's keeping you busy this summer?

  1. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's accident. I hope she'll be feeling better and is able to get back to softball soon. Sometimes a whole day passes, I was busy all the time, yet never got done what I wanted to do! How does that happen??

  2. Ouch! That hurt just reading about it. Here's to healing and staying well. As to June. . .I believe the Grinch took it along with Jan. Feb. Mar Apr. and May.
