It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things! The brainchild of Viklit, Celebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is. I am thrilled to co-host this wonderful bloghop!
This week I'm celebrating:
- air conditioning...how some people live without this is unimaginable to me #firstworldproblems
- having nice neighbors. We recently got new neighbors just a few months ago and I'm so happy that they are normal people (I've had some not-so-normal ones in the past!). They are a married couple with three kids, and they just got a dog this past weekend...he's so cute! The kids named him Olaf :) I'm hoping Olaf and Emmie will be best doggie friends one day.
- flowers! My hubs planted some annuals last weekend and they really perk up the house. I especially love my flowers in the sun porch...something about them really makes me happy.
I apologize to everyone who left me comments last week...I was MIA last weekend and by the time I got a minute to hop on my pc this week, it just seemed to make more sense to wait to Friday and hop around and return comments. Thanks for understanding!
What are you celebrating?

I haven't needed the AC yet - but that day is coming soon. I agree, nothing like having good neighbors. Enjoy those flowers! Not to worry when you miss a Friday hopping - we've all been there.
ReplyDeleteNot needed the AC yet??? Mine has been on and off since March :)
DeleteFlowers are so cheerful. All the lovely colours certainly give a lift.
ReplyDeleteYes, they always put a smile on my face :)
DeleteGood neighbors and good A/C. Both important. I'm living with some crazies next door now. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope your crazies move! Haha!
DeleteGood neighbours are a definite plus! And AC is always lovely on hot, sticky days, =)
ReplyDeleteYou're not kidding! It's been so humid this past week! Ugh...hate the heat. I'm ready for fall already LOL
DeleteMore like a Beginning of Summer celebration! :-D
ReplyDeleteBTW - I was MIA for most of May, so I missed several Fridays this month. But don't worry, you can make it up with entries titled Olaf and Emmie Take On The World!!! Just an idea, since I loved your entries for A-Z. ;-D

Thanks Tanya! I like the A-Z suggestion! :)
DeleteLovely things to celebrate as always. Celebrating making it through the entire month!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit!
DeleteFlowers and nice neighbors definitely make it easier to smile. As to the air conditioning, I have to call the repair man today, and see if we can't get ours up and running this summer.
ReplyDeleteI will pray that you can fix your AC!!!
DeleteIt would be cool for Emmie to have a friend.
ReplyDeleteGod, Entertainment, & Annoying Things
Yes it would! I think after Olaf settles in, we'll set up a play date :)
DeleteSometimes the simple pleasures are the best. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes they are Julia!
DeleteI'm with you on the AC and make that same comment often. Puppies are god's gift- having more of them around the neighborhood always makes it better, and it helps when they come attached to a nice family! And a sun room with flowers? That sounds like absolute heaven! Thanks fo co-hosting and happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Beverly!
DeleteI don't have AC, but we generally don't need it - except maybe in late July or early August for a week or two.
ReplyDeleteYay for a nice neighbor family with a possibly doggie buddy. :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Don't need AC??? Where do you live? I need to move there!
DeleteI grew up in a house without air conditioning. Some summer nights my room would still be 95 degrees while I was trying to fall asleep. Never easy. Window fans were my best friend.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
That sounds horrific LG!! If the zombie apocalypse ever hits, I will miss AC and indoor plumbing the most :)
DeleteHaving normal neighbors is a good thing. And air condition is the best when it's toasty. And love perky flowers!! Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit Cathrina!
DeleteI've had more than my share of odd neighbors, so I understand how lucky you are. I bet Olaf and Emmie will be best buds! Yay for lots of flowers and a sweet hubby who likes to plant them! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that the two pups hit it off! Thanks for the visit Lexa!
DeleteNo kidding on the AC. Last week ours blinked for several days, and it's just ugh. Both the heat and the expense of fixing it. :| I'm glad your week has gone well! =)
ReplyDeleteI hope yours stops giving you problems! Thanks for the visit!
DeleteI don't have AC, but usually by midsummer, I wish I did. What we do have is lots of fans. When it's really hot, we hide in the basement. It's so much cooler down there.
ReplyDeleteHaving good neighbors is priceless. And flowers — I love them. I'd like them everywhere. They never fail to make me smile.
