It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things! The brainchild of Viklit, Celebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have
decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big
or small it is. I am thrilled to co-host this wonderful bloghop!
This week I'm celebrating:
- having company over last weekend. We had my best friend and his family, and Jason's best friend and his family over for a barbeque. The little ones had fun making messes on the screen porch, and Emmie had fun licking chips off the floor!
- my physical therapist didn't totally kill me on Monday. Either it was because she was being nice, or (and this is more likely) maybe because it was my first visit back and she didn't want to go full-on-evil-torture on day one. We shall see, because I have PT again today. Wish me luck!
- I went joy riding! I took my boot off and drove with just my sock on! Which was very weird btw...but it worked...and there wasn't any pain! I just looked like a looney bin putting the boot back on after I parked so I could get out and walk my son into his orthodontist appointment. Seriously, I think I could do without the boot...but I'm listening to my doc's protocol and will have it on for another 5 weeks. At least I can shower like a normal person, right?
What are you celebrating?

Good luck in PT today! Glad you were able to drive without pain, but yes, I can imagine driving in a sock would feel quite strange!
ReplyDeleteIt was very strange :)
DeleteWoohoo - driving bootless! I'm glad you were able to get around without pain, and I hope the PT goes really well today!
ReplyDeleteI can only drive around town, but a little bit is better than nothing!
DeleteYou wild woman, you. Driving bootless! Glad you're better.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marilyn!
DeleteBarbecues with friends are great. And congratulations on driving bootless!
ReplyDeleteThanks L.G.!
DeleteI'm celebrating that it's Friday!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend and congrats on driving bootless. I hope PT is not too tough on you today.
Thanks Lauren!
DeleteI'm glad to hear that progress is being made with your leg. Yay.
ReplyDeleteI'm celebrating being a semi-finalist in a very big contest.
Nice Catherine! Congrats!
DeleteThat's funny about your boot. It reminds me of an aunt I have that used to drive without her shoes on. I tried it once and you're right, it does feel weird. lol
ReplyDeleteIt must be liberating to take the boot off. I'm glad you're able to do that. Have a great weekend!
I'm so happy that I can scratch again! Haha...the little things.

ReplyDeleteBare feet is definitely a preference for me, and going forkless for dinner. I love fajitas and burgers. It's kind of breaking the social norm, you know? Maybe I'm a rebel at heart. :-1
ReplyDeleteYou know... I hate that the default link on blogger is to go to google. That annoys the hell out of me, but I didn't think it bothered anyone else. I'm definitely going to put in a signature. Below is my very first try.
Have a great weekend!

OMG, I hate that about linking google+ with my blog, too! I want my blog linked to google+ but then I lose my convenient and informative blogger profile. For the past few days I've been googling trying to figure out how to keep my blogger profile but link my blog to google+. The only hack I can figure out is to keep my blogger profile and when I create a new post I change my profile to google+ so that my post publishes to google+ AND blogger and then I switch my profile back to blogger. But with that method I cannot have a google+ friend me on my blog.
DeleteIf anyone knows another way please email me!
@Tanya...your link worked!! Yay you!
Delete@Lauren...Google+ annoys everyone! I have my blog linked to blogger. I refuse to give in to Google+!!!
Sounds like a fun weekend. :) Hope this one goes well too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have or attend a barbeque! My middle name is 'riblet.'
ReplyDeleteHey, I bet you're loving that no boot time?! Be careful, yes. Won't be much longer.
Riblet...LOL!!!!
DeleteAlways best to follow the advice, glad to hear you are making progress. Keep going.
ReplyDeleteThe barbecue sounds like it was a lot of fun.
BBQ's are awesome because they are low key. I like low key :)
DeleteYay for the first BBQ of the season! Sounds awesome! I hope you can soon take that boot off forever. Meanwhile, get to that PT appointment and have a good weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lexa!
DeleteYOU HAVE A nice blog dear

thank you
Thank you
DeleteThree good things to celebrate and I'm sure Emmie is now looking forward to more BBQs - whenever we have one four cats turn up looking very expectant!! I have driven in tights (pantyhose) if my stilettos are too high and then it's weird not having any height of heel to pivot on. Enjoy the rest of your weekend :) Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
ReplyDeleteDriving without shoes is definitely weird, but I can understand why you'd kick off stilettos. Enjoy your week!
DeleteThose physical therapists can do a job on you, can't they? Mine once told me she was counting on me having poor short memory retention.
ReplyDeletePhysical therapist can be pretty evil. I mean, they HAVE to be evil to make you better, but it still sucks :)
DeleteYay for your PT not killing you. We wouldn't want that. Physical therapy is tough, but I'm glad it's working for you. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat great things to celebrate. I am celebrating being alive and filled with dreams. Thanks for sharing that!
