Celebrate The Small Things -- May 15

It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things!  The brainchild of ViklitCelebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is.  I am thrilled to co-host this wonderful bloghop!

This week I'm celebrating:
  • How sweet it is when my children snuggle up to Emmie and tell me how much they love "their puppy" :)
  • Driving!  I drove two towns away to go to acupuncture this week!  I tried driving with my ankle brace on with my sneaker, but that was so uncomfortable...I'm not a fan of the ankle brace.  So on the way back it was driving in my sock again...and it felt really good!
  • On my way back from acupuncture I went to the Starbucks drive thru and picked up a mocha latte...yummo!
  • Saw a rainbow, just washed in the clouds, yesterday afternoon.  It was a beautiful sunny day and the rainbow was a big surprise.  I was lucky to have my daughter with me to see it.

What are you celebrating?

  3. I bet Emmie is loving it too, (smile). Katie, I haven't done any acupuncture since I attempted making a quilt. I agree, Starbucks makes so many things bearable. I love rainbows, even the ones that show up when I wash the van - once a year! Have a great weekend!!! I'm glad you're better and better every week.

  4. Those rainbow sightings always give me pause. Really, anything in the sky does. Yesterday, I was inspired by the stacks of cumulus clouds after our recent rainstorm. I'm glad you had someone to share the rainbow sighting with.

  10. It's great to hear your kids and Emmie are bonding well. Congrats on trying new things including acupuncture and driving with just a sock! It almost never rains here, so it's been a long time since I saw a rainbow. Bummer. Glad you did though! Have a lovely weekend! :)

  11. I think I might be a bit afraid of those needles - does it hurt? As you know, I think Emmie has found her dream home with you and your kids confirm that :) Rainbows are such things of beauty and never fail to inspire that feeling of utter joy when seeing them. Have a super weekend, Katie! Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace

    1. Most of the time the needles don't hurt. Any pain that I have from them is so incredibly minimal compared to the positive experience my body gets!

  12. Hey Katie! Xoxoxo! Finally almost caught up with stuff. Glad the kids are getting along so well with Emmie. What a freaking cutie. Love that the acupuncture is working for you.

I haven't seen a rainbow in about a year, but they're beautiful when I do. I could watch them all day. Thanks for co-hosting as always. Hugs. Eva

  14. I've started the practice with my children of using the car ride to school to discuss all the things we are grateful for and they never cease to amaze me. I am celebrating that random thought that made it happen.

  15. Rainbows are always special. Seems like we don't see them as much as we used to. Hope the acupuncture works for you, is it illegal there to drive without shoes? It is here.
