Celebrate The Small Things -- Jan 2

It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things!  Celebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is.

I'm celebrating the most wonderful "small" things in my life...my kiddos!  They both had two whole weeks off for Christmas vacation, along with my husband, so we've all enjoyed spending time as a family.  It's not all peaches and cream, living with a teen and a pre-teen, but they are the loves of my life and I love having these moments with them.

What are you celebrating?

If you'd like to Celebrate The Small Things, visit our wonderful host, VikLit @ Scribblings of an Aspiring Author for more information.  And don't forget to check out her co-hosts:  Diana Wilder, LG Keltner @ Writing Off the Edge, Katie @ TheCyborgMom, and CaffeMaggieato @ mscoffeehouse

  1. What's interesting about treasuring your children is that, in some future year, they will tell you (or, at least, admit to themselves) that most of what made their childhood memorable was you. It's that way, looking back, with my parents. I think of growing up and I knew how much they loved me (most of the time, that is. There was the small matter of the horse I never got...) and that security underlay my world.

    Lovely post!

  3. My kids and I have been enjoying the two weeks off as well. It's so nice to do things as a family. My kids are young teens, but they're great ones, and we always have fun together. I hope you and your family have a wonderful 2015!

So now I'll be waiting for Spring to come around!

    1. Most of my nieces live far away, so I can relate to missing them! I hope you get to spend more time with her in the Spring!

  6. My stepdaughter just turned 15, so I know exactly what you're talking about. She's at the stage where her friends know everything and grown-ups are all idiots...I think she's been there for about three years!
