It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things! The brainchild of Viklit, Celebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is. I am thrilled to co-host this wonderful bloghop!
This week I'm celebrating:
- I made dinner all by myself on Tuesday! This is a huge big deal considering I haven't really had the energy or strength to do this in many months! Woot! On the menu was chicken cutlets, Rice-A-Roni, and some steamed broccoli (it was in a microwaveable bag...so a bit of a cheat, but who cares?!)
- Got some new makeup, which always makes me a bit cheery
- My daughter had her first tournament of the season last weekend, and her shoulder did well! We used this tape that was recommended by the physical therapist, and she said it helped!
This will be my last Friday as co-host. I've been feeling a bit disconnected from blogging lately, and think it's best to take a break. I've had a wonderful time helping out, and still plan on celebrating as much as I can. I hope to see you all around!
What are you celebrating?

Congrats on the new makeup! I'm always happy to get new makeup, too! And that KT tape is awesome! I used to use it on my bad knee after someone recommended it to me. He said the knee brace wasn't helping the muscles around my knee get stronger. It was, in fact, making them weaker and therefore not helping my knee. The KT tape supported the right areas while allowing my muscles to get back to normal. With that and exercise, I don't even need it anymore.
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting for as long as you did. Have a great weekend!
I'm glad to hear that the tape worked for you too!!!
DeleteThat still counts as cooking. Enjoy your break.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGlad you're feeling better. We all need a break. Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThis recovery has been a slow one...but I am feeling better, bit by bit!
DeleteI hope the break does you good. Sometimes we have to step away from extra things to take care of ourselves. I totally get what you're saying. This time 2-years ago I was recovering from acute diverticulitis (following surgery), which wiped me out in a very big way, so I understand how good it feels to do a simple chore. So, hurray for you! Have an amazing summer!

Yeah, I always feel better when I'm showered, dressed, and have a little makeup on!
DeleteMaking dinner is a great accomplishment, =) Glad you've got a bit more energy to put a meal together!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I get my energy in bursts, but I'll take it!

ReplyDeleteAnd yay for helpful tape.
I will miss you, but I really appreciate all that you've done for Celebrate the Small Things. I understand the need to step away and hope you'll still be around the blogsphere now and then.
Thanks Tyrean!

DeleteI love the colour of the tape 'rage red'. It' can't just be red, it has to be 'rage red'. Sounds like there's plenty to celebrate in your life. I'm happy for you.
ReplyDeleteNice things to celebrate, all of them!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand needing a break. I just got off break and almost want to slip away again. Almost. I would miss everyone too much. =)
