It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things! The brainchild of Viklit, Celebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is.
This week I'm celebrating...
- Sunshine...I hate when it's overcast and rainy out, and it seems like we've had too much of that lately. Emmie has been loving it...
- Dentek floss picks...yes, I know this seems very random, but I have a hard time reaching my back teeth to floss the old school way. These floss picks make the dreaded flossing chore so much easier! I know, I'm weird. My dentist has recommended I get floss picks before, but I've held out because they've always seemed so much more expensive to me than regular floss...but I figure it's probably a lot cheaper to buy these than it is to keep getting cavities filled! Plus, having any kind of dental work gives me anxiety, so these are for my mental health too...right?
- I got to see my daughter play in her first JV softball scrimmage! I'm just so grateful that her arm has healed up from last year (knock on wood) and she was able to try out, and make the team this year. My baby girl...I'm so proud.
What are you celebrating?

Emmie looks so happy in that photo - my cats are all loving it now that I am out in the sunshine with them weeding in the garden more :) Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
ReplyDeleteYay for sunshine and impending Spring! (Emmie's so cute!) I'm in the middle of dental problems, and believe me, those dental picks are a small price to pay if they'll keep you out of the dentist's chair. Congrats to your daughter for trying out and making it! Thanks a lot for joining the hop this week, Kate. It's always great to hear what's going on in your life. :)
ReplyDeletecongratulations to your daughter
ReplyDeleteEmmie looks very satisfied :) Here's wishing your daughter a great season!
ReplyDeleteSunshine is the best. But a little rain every now and then is healthy too. Just, please, don't let it keep going on and on and on! :) our first 33 days in Germany were grey and rainy. So I get the joy of sunshine. :)
ReplyDeleteHope your daughter continues to do well.
And those Dental pick floss thingies, yeah that's how I get TheBoy to floss...sometimes lol
Enjoy a new week

When kids start practicing for baseball we know spring and summer are right around the corner!!! Glad to hear your daughter's arm is healing nicely. (knocking on wood with you)
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the sunshine. It's been glorious, here. As squeamish as I am about all things dental, I'll take any comforts there, no matter how small. And yay for softball games!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for your daughter
ReplyDeleteAww, cute dog picture. I feel the same way when the sun comes out. Seeing the blue skies fills me with energy. I think prevention is better than the cure. I use an electric toothbrush. It's expensive and not very exciting, but I'd rather that then have to need dental work doing. Better to take care of yourself ahead of time I think, or I'll be regretting it later. You can't put a price on your own wellbeing too.
