Celebrate The Small Things--Dec 4

It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things!  The brainchild of ViklitCelebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is.

This week I'm celebrating:
  • I'm back!  I haven't posted in such a long time...what a loser I am.  I have a hard time with the spring and fall weather changes, so I've had a lot more bad days than good lately...but I'm going to make an effort to blog a bit more often...and by often, I mean actually posting more than once in a blue moon!  Many thanks to Lexa Cain for not kicking me off the "Celebrate" list!
  • The botox injections that I had into my back/neck at the end of August worked a bit better than the steroids I was getting.  I just went back this Tuesday for a second set (they last anywhere from 3-6 months), and they went a little smoother this time.  Note to self...do a blog post on this.
  • I had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We normally spend Thanksgiving with my in-laws, and this year two of my brother-in-laws (with their families) were there to celebrate with us.  Have I ever mentioned how much I love my in-laws?  They are the best...I am so blessed.
  • My hubby and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary last weekend.  Amazingly, I haven't driven him completely crazy just yet ;)  I love you Jason!!!

What are you celebrating?

  2. Happy Anniversary! And yay to having such wonderful in-laws. That's definitely something to celebrate (better than the other kind) Glad the new shots are working. Sounds like a great week.

  3. I'm so happy Botox is working for you! and happy anniversary! Mine's coming in a couple weeks! YAY!

TheHubs has had this worsening condition for the last 13 years. His migraines are coming twice a day, or never going away as he takes 2 pills a day. The Botox eases it just a little, maybe. But I really don't think so. He's had his occipital nerves frozen, then burned, until it no longer worked. He's so intolerant to pain medication that when he has dental work, they have to drill a hole in his jaw and put a catheter in and a nurse has to stand there and inject the "special" Novocaine into it every ten minutes. unsure emoticon So I've been looking for other things for him to try. There has GOT to be something out there that will give him SOME relief! i hate seeing him so bad off, constant pain! it breaks my heart. I hope you are not as bad as him!!! I would not wish it on anyone!

  5. When it gets colder, muscles and bones act up, so I'm sure your situation gets a lot worse. I hope the botox eases your pain. I'm glad you had a great Thanksgiving, and I love the cute pic! (You put in a lot of time visiting and commenting for Celebrate. How could I kick you off?)
