Celebrate The Small Things -- March 13

It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things!  The brainchild of ViklitCelebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is.  I am thrilled to co-host this wonderful bloghop!

This week I'm celebrating being 4 days away from walking!  St. Patrick's Day I will get this cast off, and a temporary look at my wookie leg before they cast it all back up again.  So, another cast for 6 more weeks--which sucks--but I'll be able to start walking on it--which is awesome!  Any suggestions on what color cast I should get?  I should also get to take home some x-rays, which is always exciting for me.

Also celebrating some warmer weather this week.  It's always an adjustment when the weather changes, so this week has been rough on my body.  But I'm definitely done with the winter.  If only it could stay 65 degrees and sunny year round...

What are you celebrating?

  4. Walking in less than a week? Woohoo! That's wonderful! I vote for a purple cast. I can't believe I come from a time before there was such a thing as colored casts. They sound fun - even if the reason you get one isn't. 65 and sunny year round? YES!!! Where can I sign up? Enjoy walking on your new cast - I want pics! :)

    1. I was thinking of a light green for St. Patty's too...who knows. It all depends on the mood I'm in that day!

    1. I can't wait! I'm still kind of hoping for a miracle and that the doc says that I don't need a second cast...just a boot. But the chances of that are pretty much nil. I will still keep praying for it!

  9. Yay for getting a walking cast! I agree with Dixie about the cast color -- green for St. Patrick's Day. And 65 and sunny year round would be wonderful. I'd even be happy with 50 right about now.

    1. Maybe we should all move to San Diego and have 75 and sunny year round ;) A little warmer than I'd like, but I bet I could get used to it!
