Celebrate The Small Things - 8/15 - My New Cyborg Part!

It's Friday and I'm Celebrating The Small Things!  Celebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration where some bloggers have decided to post about something worth celebrating...no matter how big or small it is.

This week I'm celebrating my new tooth!  I had my tooth pulled about a year and a half ago and I've been living with just an implant with a cap on it until now.  I would have had a new tooth sooner, but it cost me almost $1800!  And with my two ankle surgeries last year, I just couldn't afford the tooth.  But now it's here...and it's wonderful!

Just another cyborg part :)

I was even allowed to take home my teeth molds, which I was very excited about.  My husband thinks it's weird that I wanted them.  I wasn't even going to tell him...I had considered just putting them on the bookshelf in the family room and waiting for him to notice.  But I couldn't hold in my excitement and I told him over lunch.  My dentist even put my cap in my mold for me so I could keep that too.

It really doesn't take much to make me happy sometimes! LOL

Happy Weekend!

What are you celebrating?

  3. That's great that you were finally able to get your new tooth. I haven't had any teeth pulled, but I've had enough root canals to last me a lifetime. Happy Friday!

    1. I ended up having it pulled because I didn't want to have a 3rd root canal on the same tooth! And that wasn't even a guarantee...so I opted for the pulling. Not fun...but neither is the root canal!

    1. I love it already, and it's only been a couple of days. I can eat chips on my left side again!

  6. I have an implant too, love it. Much better than the archaic retainer I was wearing. Lost my front too when I was 19 riding my bicycle...

    1. Ouch! My friend has a bunch of implants...so I kind of knew what I was getting into. At least I don't have to worry about any more root canals in that tooth!

  7. Congratulations on getting your new tooth! People take things like teeth for granted. It's things like that that we miss the most when they're gone.
