American Pit Bull Terrier

An A to Z Challenge from the point of view of the newest member of the family...Emmie is a 4-ish year old pit bull mix that we rescued on March 20, 2015.

Hi! I'm Emmie and I've been living in a new home for a week and a half now...at least that what my humans say...I don't really have any concept of this thing they call time. I hear them say that I'm an American Pit Bull Terrier mix (APBT), and that's why I was with my foster mama for so long. I don't know why being an APBT is a bad thing. I hear that my ancestors were nanny dogs and some of them were even famous!  Click here for some fun facts about pits!

My mommie asked me to help with her blogging challenge...I accepted :)

Do you own any animals? Maybe you have a cousin or two of mine! Do you have any blogging helpers for this A to Z?

  1. Hi Emmie. Congratulations on the new home. My bear named, Teddy always helps me write... he loves the A2Z.

  2. Pits are the best! My brother has a Pit bull and he is such a sweet dog. I have two beagles.

  3. What a big dog! My tabby cats are my blogging partners... whether I want them to be or not!! The youngest, Skimbles (5 mths), loves to sit on my laptop as I try to type, or on top of my arm so I can't type without moving/scratching/patting him. Eevee (13 mths, also a rescue) likes to walk on the laptop if I leave it open on the table... or just sits and talks to me while I type.

  8. A delightful theme for the blog challenge! Yes, we had a family dog, Britt. She was half Britney Spaniel and half black lab. We loved her. She is now in doggie heaven. Looking forward to reading Emmie's observations.

  10. Oh Emmie! This is going to be so much fun. We just spent the night with a pit bull named Leia. She's my in-law's dog, but she's been in the family since my husband I were dating. She's an old lady. In our house we are down to one dog, Champ, who is a pain in the butt Shih-Tzu. We used to have three dogs, Champ had two beagles, Buffy and Chewy, that he loved very much. We haven't gotten Champ any new dogs to play with (except when Leia comes over), but we brought a baby boy into the house about ten months ago just to rock his (and our) world!
    Have fun blogging this month!

  11. Hi Emmie... I have to confess that I am a little surprised to come across you in the A to Z challenge. Sorry, no animals this side, but I am sure we can still have fun reading each other's thoughts through the month of April... and after :)
