...Time Lords. Yes, like from Doctor Who. Those who are Whovians will understand, and those who don't, head on over to Amazon Prime and watch some Doctor Who!
My very favorite Doctor is eleven, played by Matt Smith. I love the quirky, 'madman with a box' that he portrays. My second favorite is David Tennant, with "The Girl In The Fireplace" being my favorite episode with him. And even if he only appeared for one episode, the 50th Anniversary special, I really loved John Hurt's Doctor. That special is one of my favorites as it has all three of my favorite Doctors in it...guaranteed to bring a smile to my face.
My friend Dany gave me this! It hangs on my refrigerator so I can look at it everyday :) |
Are you a Doctor Who fan? Who is your favorite Time Lord?
Not a Doctor Who fan...then what show is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face?
Yes Dr. Who has been a firm family favourite of mine since hiding behind the sofa as a child to watching the same reactions of my own children watching it. My childhood favourite was Tom Baker - wildly eccentric with a wonderful voice but I thought Christopher Ecclestone's resurrection of the Doctor ensured Dr. Who came back for the next generation so he is special to me too. I also loved Donna Noble as the gutsy assistant played by Catherine Tate :)

DeleteI'm not really a fan, but I always enjoy hearing people talk about how much they love one Dr. Who or another. Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteSci-fi isn't for everyone. I forgive you :)

The reboot (since 2005) has been so good. You should check it out! Thanks for the visit!
DeleteYou should know by now that I'm a Doctor Who fan. This is one of the few TV shows I've actually written fan faction for. Also my avatar kind of gives it away, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI've loved the older and the newer episodes. I have all available episodes on DVD, so you could say I do enjoy the show.
Favourite Doctor? That's kind of hard to say as I tend to enjoy whatever Doctor I'm watching at the time.
Of the older series, probably Peter Davison is my favourite. Of the newer, I'd go with David Tennant. I probably would have been a big Christopher Eccleston fan if he had stayed on for longer than one series. Oh, and if he would be more willing to come back at some point but he seems to want nothing to do with Doctor Who any more. I understand where he's coming from, but still.
Christopher Eccleston was a great Doctor. I was sad he didn't want to take part in the 50th. Not cool!
DeleteI remember as a child in the 70's Dr. Who came on after Saturday morning cartoons (you and I grew up in the same place you I'm sure you remember). The Doctor at that time was Thom Baker. Being raised on Star Trek, Space 1999 and Star Wars, I never got into Dr. Who and it's something I've always wanted to check into...
ReplyDeleteI never watched Doctor Who as a kid...only started watching a few years ago and now I'm hooked. You should give it a go...Amazon has all the episodes for free if you are a Prime member. Or you could just make friends with Jeffrey from up above ^^^ and watch with him :)
DeleteYou might find this strange, but I don't watch it. I'm not sure why. I keep saying I'll give it a try, but I wouldn't even know where or when to start!

Since I know you like X-Files, then I know you like sci-fi and monster of the week type stuff...then you will probably like Doctor Who too. Start with the episode called "Rose" :)
